Governance & Policies

Council

Kingswood College is a legally constituted Company limited by guarantee. Directors of the Company are the Kingswood College Council members. There is a maximum of twelve Council members and a minimum of eight.

Responsibility of Council

The Kingswood College Council is responsible for:

  • the overall governance of the College
  • the setting of strategic direction
  • the review of plans and budgets established by the College Management, and
  • the monitoring of performance against those plans and budgets.

The Council delegates responsibility for the operation and administration of the College to the Principal.

Child Safety

Kingswood College is committed to child safety. We have zero tolerance of child abuse. Kingswood College has a Child Safe Committee of College Council, Child Safety Officers, regular training for staff and information for students as part of our commitment to child safety and wellbeing.  Outlined below are the College’s policies and commitment to Child Safety. If you believe a child is at immediate risk of abuse, telephone 000.

Whenever we gather, and wherever we gather, we extend respect and dignity to the first inhabitants of our country and acknowledge the truth about the country on which our school has stood and now stands.
